Javier Ruiz Identified in Crash on West Carrier Parkway in Grand Prairie
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX (October 20, 2022) – Police identified 31-year-old Javier Ruiz as the victim who died in a crash in the 1200 block of West Carrier Parkway on October 6.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 4:45 PM.
Based on a report, Ruiz was traveling eastbound on the road in a Honda passenger car prior to the crash. Officers said he was driving at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a Freightliner commercial motor vehicle was traveling westbound. As the semi made a left turn into a business, it collided with the Honda.
As a result, Ruiz died after he was flown by CareFlite helicopter to a local hospital.
At this point, the Grand Prairie Police Department is still investigating the accident. In addition, no further information is available.
