Man Ejected from Vehicle, Struck and Killed in Accident on 10 Freeway [San Antonio, TX]

One Struck and Killed by Vehicle in San Antonio’s East Side Accident on 10 Freeway

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 20, 2022) – Police confirmed that a man died after getting struck by a vehicle in an accident on 10 Freeway on October 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Hackberry Street on the East Side just before 7:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the man was driving a GMC Yukon in an erratic manner in the eastbound lanes of the freeway prior to the crash. Subsequently, he lost control of the vehicle and it flipped over, ejecting him into the main lanes of the highway. At that point, a passing white Toyota Camry hit him.
 
As a result, first responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
Police said his passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
 
The driver of the Camry stayed at the scene.
 
As of now, the San Antonio Police Department is still investigating the case. In addition, no further information is available.
