One Killed after Houston Hit-and-Run on Westheimer Road

 
HOUSTON, TX (August 15, 2023) — One person died in a hit-and-run accident on Westheimer Road just before 1:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31.
 
According to Houston police, the suspect struck a man along the eastbound lanes of Westheimer Road between Post Oak Boulevard and Loop 610.
 
After that, several vehicles may have struck the victim too, resulting in fatal injuries. However, none of the vehicles that hit him remained at the scene.
 
Police then arrived and declared the man dead at the scene. They have not yet released his identity. However, they said he is from India.
 
Furthermore, a woman who called in the accident reported that a man she knew may have been involved in the accident.
 
Officers then went to an apartment complex 14 miles from the scene. There they discovered a sedan with front windshield damage, blood, and front-end damage. All of which matched the evidence at the scene.
 
Officers then detained that driver. He now faces a felony charge in the hit-and-run crash.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the fatal accident.
