LUBBOCK, TX (April 10, 2023) – Officers identified 35-year-old Norma Linda Borjas as the victim who died in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 62 on March 30.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 7:00 AM. Based on a report, Borjas was walking across the southwest travel lanes of the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a vehicle was traveling southwest in the inside travel lane. As Borjas crossed the highway, the vehicle struck her and fled the scene.
 
As a result, Borjas suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
There was no word on the hit-and-run vehicle and its driver.
