Ashley Gagau, Joe Burgess and Megan Burgess Identified in Yakima County Car Crash

 
YAKIMA COUNTY, WA (April 10, 2023) – Officials identified the three people who were injured after crashing into another car on Highway 97 on March 26.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at milepost 26 near Satus Pass around 5:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, 25-year-old Ashley Gagau of Goldendale was driving a 2002 Chevy Avalanche north on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she lost control, crossed the center line and hit a 2007 Toyota Corolla that was driving south.
 
As a result, she was hurt and was taken to Mid-Columbia Medical Center for treatment.
 
The Toyota’s driver Joe Burgess was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center. His passenger, Megan Burgess, suffered serious injuries. Crews transported her to the critical unit in Harborview Medical Center.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
