Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Motorcycle Accident on Highway 161 at 128th Street in South Hill
SOUTH HILL, WA (October 4, 2022) – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 161.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 128th Street around 5:55 PM on September 9.
Based on a report, the 57-year-old Puyallup man was riding a motorcycle north on the highway prior to the crash. Subsequently, a southbound pickup truck made a left turn, crossed the double-yellow line, and cut in front of him. The action caused the victim to swerve and hit the ground.
Then, the truck driver continued driving, without giving aid to the victim.
As a result, the victim sustained major injuries in the crash.
As of now, detectives with WSP are seeking help to identify the truck and its driver. Officers ask anyone with information to contact Detective Tessa Schahfer at 253-538-3172.
