Motorcyclist Dies after Semi-Truck Crash on Interstate 15 in Baker

 
BAKER, CA (November 8, 2022) — A motorcyclist died while another was hurt following a semi-truck crash on Interstate 15 on Saturday afternoon, November 5.

The fatal collision occurred just north of Baker at around 4:16 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department. Authorities said a semi tractor trailer and two motorcycles crashed on northbound I-15.

The force of impact ejected two riders from their motorcycles. One ended up in the center divider while the other landed in the right shoulder.

As a result, one of the two motorcyclists died.

The other victim survived but was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The details leading up to the incident remain unknown at this time. The CHP Barstow Office is conducting an investigation to determine the cause and factors surrounding the crash.
