73-Year-Old Mirta Curbelo Dies in Las Vegas Car Crash

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 24, 2023) – Metro police identified 73-year-old Mirta Curbelo of Las Vegas as the victim who died in a multi-vehicle crash on Desert Inn Road on March 21.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Jones Boulevard just after 2:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, a pickup truck was traveling on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it crossed the median and hit another car head-on. Subsequently, the crash caused a chain reaction.
 
As a result, Curbelo, a passenger in the second car, died at the hospital.
 
Police do not believe impairment played a factor in the crash. At this point, officers continue to investigate the case.
