PHOENIX, AZ (December 29, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 26-year-old Michael Ochoa who died in a pedestrian accident on 47th Street on December 19.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Southern Avenue shortly before 10:00 PM. Based on the report, Ochoa was walking in the roadway outside of marked crosswalks when a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, Ochoa suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital, where he later died.
 
The driver of the car stayed on the scene of the crash and didn’t show any signs of intoxication.
