Michael Clark Killed after Motorcycle Crash on Highway 6 near Dobson Road

 
MESA, AZ (March 20, 2024) — A motorcyclist identified as 46-year-old Michael Clark died in a crash on Tuesday, March 12.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers, the accident happened on Highway 60 eastbound near Dobson Road at about 11:00 p.m.
 
Authorities said an 18-year-old drove a 2024 Chevy Corvette at a high rate of speed. Then she spotted Clark riding a motorcycle in the HOV lane ahead of her. The girl tried to stop but still rear-ended Clark.
 
Troopers said Clark hit the concrete wall and fell off his bike. The Corvette driver stopped and tried to perform CPR on Clark. However, he still succumbed and died from his injuries.
 
The Corvette driver remained at the scene and did not sustain any injuries. The investigation is still underway. It’s unclear if the 18-year-old will face charges for Clark’s death.
 
Officers closed the freeway throughout the night. They reopened it at around 4:00 a.m.
