Melody Anderson Identified in Fatal DUI Accident in Tacoma

 
TACOMA, WA (October 1, 2024) – Authorities identified 24-year-old Melody A. Anderson who died in an accident on Highway 24 on September 8.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near 30th Street around 2:15 AM. Based on a report, Anderson was a passenger in a car heading south on the highway.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the car’s 27-year-old male driver drove off the road and hit a pole. Anderson was not wearing her seatbelt.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The driver was not hurt in the crash. Police suspected him of driving under the influence and he is now facing a vehicular homicide charge.
