Melinda Curd Identified in Fatal Car Accident on Highway 25 in Davenport
DAVENPORT, WA (August 30, 2023) – Officers identified 53-year-old Melinda Curd of Fruitland who died in a car accident on Highway 25 on August 15.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened just before 3:00 PM. Based on a report, Curd was driving her vehicle north on the highway at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, she went off the road and hit a power pole. Subsequently, her vehicle crashed and went down an embankment.
As a result, Curd suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
A passenger in the vehicle was also not wearing a seatbelt. Crews airlifted the victim to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in an unknown condition.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
