Elisabeth Hildebrand and Katharina Forese Killed in Accident on Highway 214 [Gaines County, TX]

Katharina Forese, Elisabeth Hildebrand Identified in Fatal Accident on Highway 214 at Farm-to-Market 2056 in Gaines County

 
GAINES COUNTY, TX (August 30, 2023) – Officers identified 55-year-old Elisabeth Hildebrand and 60-year-old Katharina Forese who died in an accident on Highway 214 on August 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Farm-to-Market 2056. Based on a report, Hildebrand was driving south on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 40-year-old Luis Carlos Ruiz of New Mexico was driving a semi-truck northbound. When Ruiz attempted to turn left on FM 2056, he did not yield the right-of-way to Hildebrand and caused a crash.
 
As a result, Hildebrand suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Forese, her passenger, died at Yoakum County Medical Center. Both women were from Seminole.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
