SANTA ANA, CA (January 30, 2023) – 30-year-old Melina Sierra Martinez passed away in a hit-and-run crash on West First Street on Wednesday, January 17.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the fatal accident happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the 2800 block of West First Street.

Based on a report, Martinez was walking north when an oncoming vehicle struck her.

Responders transported her to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries and died.

The involved driver did not render aid and fled the scene. There is no released information about the suspect. However, further investigation was conducted.
