Colton Turner Dies in Midland County Crash

 
MIDLAND, TX (January 30, 2023) – 22-year-old Colton Allen Turner died following a crash on State Highway 349 on Saturday morning, January 21.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash happened at approximately 7:32 a.m., 16 miles south of Midland.

Preliminary investigation revealed that William Edward Jansen drove a trailer west of State Highway 349. Turner was heading southbound on the same highway.

Jansen failed to give way to Turner as he entered the highway and made a northbound left turn. This caused the collision, police stated.

Turner died at the scene, authorities said.
