Two Killed, Megan Skillingstad Arrested in DUI Spokane Accident

 
SPOKANE, WA (May 2, 2023) – Authorities arrested 29-year-old Megan Skillingstad after a fatal hit-and-run crash on West Trails Road on April 27.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened just east of North Flint Road around 11:45 PM. Based on a report, Skillingstad went off West Trails Road after attempting to follow the road.
 
Then, she hit two people and continued to hit more fence posts before coming to a stop. She then managed to get back on the road and left the scene.
 
As a result, the Spokane County Sheriff’s found and pronounced a man and a woman dead at the scene.
 
Deputies also found skid marks and car debris, including a Washington license plate. They later arrested Skillingstad on two counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of hit and run.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
