Megan Nicole Fanucchi Dies After Hit-and-Run on Stockdale Highway

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 10, 2022)Megan Nicole Fanucchi died after being caught up in a hit-and-run on Stockdale Highway on Friday, November 4.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the fatal collision involved a silver sedan and a black Chevrolet or a GMC truck in the 5100 block of Stockdale Highway.

Authorities said the 34-year-old Fanucchi attempted to cross the road outside of a crosswalk when she was struck twice by two vehicles.

The impact inflicted major injuries to Fanucchi, who later died.

Meanwhile, the involved drivers fled the scene. Police stated that excessive speed may have played a part in the incident.

The case is still under investigation as police search for the drivers.
