Mayra Guevara Identified in Fatal Crash on FM 466 at FM 477 in Guadalupe County

 
GUADALUPE COUNTY, TX (August 24, 2023) – Officials identified 21-year-old Mayra Noemi Guevara of Seguin who died in a crash on FM 466 on August 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at FM 477 around 9:35 PM. Based on a report, a 2017 Chevy Silverado was traveling south on FM 466 at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, its driver failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Guevara’s Chevy Equinox that was heading east on FM 477.
 
As a result, Guevara suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Crews rushed a 4-year-old child to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries. They also took a 45-year-old woman to BAMC in San Antonio.
 
Officers arrested the driver of the pickup truck, 25-year old Ryan Aviles of San Marcos, for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing bodily injury.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
