Matthew Massie Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 288 in Angleton
ANGLETON, TX (October 30, 2022) – Police identified 23-year-old Matthew Massie of Clute as the victim who died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 288 on October 25.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at CR 45 around 5:28 AM.
Based on a report, Massie was riding his Honda motorcycle on the northbound side of the highway at the time of the crash. Subsequently, a Chevrolet Malibu pulled out from CR 45 and crashed into the motorcycle, ejecting Massie into a ditch.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Police said he was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Malibu, a 30-year-old woman from Edinburg, did not need any medical treatment.
The Angleton Police Department and Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene. As of now, the fatal crash remains under investigation.
