Matthew Brown Dies in Car Crash on Highway 135 in Jacksonville

 
JACKSONVILLE, TX (March 20, 2023) – Officers identified 36-year-old Matthew John Brown of Gilmer as the victim who died in a head-on car crash John Brown on Highway 135 on March 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened about five and a half miles southwest of Jacksonville.
 
Based on a report, Brown was driving north on the highway prior to the crash. At the same time, 51-year-old Tommy Wayne Kerzee of Jacksonville was traveling south. Due to unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided head-on.
 
As a result, Brown suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Kerzee was taken to a nearby hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.
