Martin Pena Identified in Fatal Crash on CR-1196 at Highway 77 in San Patricio County

 
SAN PATRICIO COUNTY, TX (June 28, 2023) – Officials identified 58-year-old Martin Enrique Pena of Sinton who died in a two-vehicle crash on CR-1196 on June 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Highway 77 around 10:15 PM. Based on a report, Pena was driving a Ford Fusion westbound on CR-1196 at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign. He proceeded through the intersection and collided with a Dodge Durango that was traveling northbound on the highway.
 
As a result, Pena suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
