5 Killed, Identified in San Antonio Car Crash on Highway 87

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 28, 2023) – Officials confirmed that five people died in a head-on crash in the 900 block of Highway 87 on June 19.
 
The men were identified as 32-year-old Nelson Rivera-Aguilar, 16-year-old Orlando Machorro-Ramos, 30-year-old Jose Gonzalez-Galvez, 28-year-old Kevin Portillo, and 32-year-old Nathan Malosh. All five men had San Antonio addresses.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened between the cities Fredericksburg and Comfort around 7:30 AM. Based on a report, a white Mazda sedan with four occupants was northbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, it passed in a no-passing zone and crashed into a black Nissan SUV that was heading southbound.
 
As a result, all four people in the Mazda and one person in the Nissan died in the incident.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available at this time.
