Mark Oale Identified in Fatal Phoenix Car Crash, Teen Driver Involved

 
PHOENIX, AZ (April 10, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 60-year-old Mark Oale as the victim who died in a crash on 35th Avenue on April 1.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Union Hills Drive. Based on a report, Oale was going south on 35th Avenue prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a teen was driving west on Union Hills Drive. Due to unknown reasons, the teen ran a red light and struck Oale’s car, pushing it into a third vehicle that was stopped at the intersection.
 
As a result, Oale suffered grave injuries. Crews took him to the hospital, where he later died.
 
The teen and the driver of the third vehicle stayed on the scene. Police said that neither of them showed any signs of impairment.
 
As of now, officers continue to investigate the incident. In addition, no other details are available.
