56-Year-Old Maria Flores Died in Wichita Falls Crash on Loop 11 and Northwest Drive

 
WICHITA FALLS, TX (November 14, 2022) – 56-year-old Maria Flores of Wichita Falls died after a car crash on Loop 11 and Northwest Drive on Thursday, November 10.

According to Wichita Falls Police Department (WFPD), a 36-year-old woman driving a Cadillac CTS was driving east on Northwest Drive with two passengers on board, Flores and a two-year-old girl.

Then, a 62-year-old man driving a Ford Escape north on Loop 11 struck the Cadillac on the passenger side of the vehicle. The impact caused the Cadillac to crash into a power pole at the intersection.

The Ford Escape flipped at least one time before landing on its roof, authorities said.

Flores ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials reported that the drivers of the Cadillac and Ford Escape had to be extricated. However, the toddler was also ejected from the vehicle.

Medical personnel took the child to Cook Children’s Health Care Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Both drivers were taken to URHCS and are in critical condition.
