Marco Juarez Detained after Fatal Houston DUI Accident on 10 Freeway

 
HOUSTON, TX (February 22, 2023) – Officers arrested 21-year-old Marco Antonio Juarez after a fatal pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway on February 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near the Gessner Road exit at around 3:45 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim ran out of fuel in his car on the highway and requested an Uber to take him to a nearby gas station. When he got back, the man began to fill his tank. At that time, Juarez drove his dark-colored Toyota pickup truck into the victim and struck him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The Toyota became disabled and Juarez remained at the scene before authorities arrived. Police arrested him with intoxication manslaughter charges.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
