Crash Suspect Involved in Carjacking on 5 Freeway in Auburn

 
AUBURN, WA (November 17, 2022) – Police are now looking for a man following incidents of an accident and carjacking on 5 Freeway on November 12.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near 288th Street around 8:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, the suspect was driving a stolen passenger car north on the freeway prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the suspect struck a car in the HOV lane and lost control. Then, his vehicle veered across the freeway and caused a four-car crash.
 
Following the pile-up, the suspect went to a 2002 Subaru Legacy being driven by a 74-year-old woman. After opening the car, he pulled the woman and drove the car.
 
It was not clear if there were injuries sustained in the incident.
 
As of now, the investigation into the case remains ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
