Electric Bicycle Involved in Accident on Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 1, 2024) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that one person suffered in an electric bicycle accident on Sahara Avenue on March 24.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at 6th Street around 8:25 PM. Based on a report, the 62-year-old man was riding a Hyper 36V electric bike west on Sahara Avenue. He was in the right lane.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he made an abrupt and unsafe lane change across all westbound travel lanes. At that point, a Nissan Altima also heading west struck him.
 
As a result, the man sustained serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to UMC where he remained in critical condition.
 
The driver of the Nissan remained on the scene and did not show any signs of impairment.
