76-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in Dump Truck Accident on Highway 190 [Lampasas County, TX]

Pickup Truck Crashes into Dump Truck on Highway 190 in Lampasas

 
LAMPASAS COUNTY, TX (October 13, 2022) – A 76-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a pickup truck accident on Highway 190 on October 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 9:56 AM, 5 miles west of Kempner.
 
Based on a report, the victim was traveling in a 1994 Ford Ranger pick-up westbound on the shoulder of the roadway prior to the crash. As he was slowing down, he made an unsafe U-turn and turned directly into the path of a 1984 Kenworth dump truck. The dump truck was approaching the Ford from behind.
 
As a result, paramedics airlifted the the Ford driver to Seaton Wilco by Careflight air ambulance for major injuries. The 29-year-old male driver of the dump truck was not hurt in the crash.
 
As of now , no further information is available and DPS is still investigating the crash.
