Raymond Brahier Killed, Cesar Garcia-Gorral Injured in Sherman County Accident
SHERMAN COUNTY, TX (October 13, 2022) – Police identified 46-year-old Raymond Brahier of Pleasanton as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 54 around 5:30 PM on October 11.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at County Road 11 about four miles northeast of Stratford.
Based on a report, Brahier was driving a 2019 Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer northwest behind a 2007 Peterbilt truck tractor towing a semi-trailer prior to the crash. Meanwhile, a 2014 Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer was traveling northeast. As the 2007 Peterbilt slowed down, Brahier hit its trailer, causing that truck to hit the 2014 Freightliner.
As a result, the Sherman County Justice of the Peace pronounced Brahier dead at the scene.
The driver of the 2007 Peterbilt, 38-year-old Cesar Garcia-Gorral of Spearman was treated at the scene while the driver of the 2014 Freightliner, 53-year-old Buster Moody was not hurt.
As of now, the Texas Highway Patrol Troopers investigated this crash.
