PHOENIX, AZ (May 16, 2023) — A man died and a woman had serious injuries after a two-car crash on Sunday, May 14.
 
According to Phoenix police, the incident happened near 51st Avenue and Thomas Road shortly after 11:30 a.m.
 
Phoenix fire crews arrived at the scene and discovered a collision involving two vehicles.
 
Paramedics transported the drivers of both cars, a man and a woman, to the hospital. The man was in critical condition and the woman sustained serious injuries.
 
Police said the man later died at the hospital. Authorities have not yet released his name and city of residence.
