Pedestrian Killed by Vehicle on Highway 509 in Seattle

 
SEATTLE, WA (October 31, 2022) – Police confirmed that a 32-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 509 on October 27.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 1st Avenue South Bridge around 5:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the man jumped across a barrier near the bridge. At that point, a vehicle hit him.
 
As a result, the victim died in the incident. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Also, the crash closed all lanes of the northbound side of the highway, forcing all drivers to use the northbound lane from Burien.
 
As of now, WSP officers are still working to determine the cause of the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
