Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver

 
VANCOUVER, WA (February 2, 2024) – The Vancouver Police Department confirmed that a 67-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Fourth Plain Boulevard on January 28.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near 137th Street around 6:50 PM. Based on a report, the man was crossing Fourth Plain Boulevard outside of a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, an eastbound pickup truck hit him. The pickup driver stopped and another car swerved past the stopped vehicles and ran over the victim who was lying in the roadway. The second driver fled the scene.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries in the incident. The Vancouver Fire Department and AMR arrived and declared the man dead at the scene.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
