Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Elliott Avenue West in Seattle
SEATTLE, WA (January 23, 2024) – The Seattle Police Department confirmed that a 61-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident in the 600 block of Elliott Avenue West on January 11.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 6:00 PM. Based on a report, the man was crossing outside a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, a female in her 40s driving northbound on Elliott Avenue West hit him.
As a result, the man suffered grave injuries in the incident. Seattle Fire Department arrived and provided aid, but the victim died at the scene. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
Patrol officers secured the scene until detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad arrived.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
