Ernesto Rodriguez-Ramirez Dead in Laredo Rollover Crash on 35 Freeway

 
LAREDO, TX (January 23, 2024) — A 29-year-old Roma resident, Ernesto Alonso Rodriguez-Ramirez, died in a rollover crash on Monday, January 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at mile marker 22 of the 35 Freeway at around 5:00 a.m.
 
DPS said a white 2000 Ford F-150 moved north on mile marker 22 of 35 Freeway. Then it lost control, possibly because of ice on the roadway.
 
The Ford went off the roadway and overturned multiple times onto the east side of the roadway.
 
Rodriguez-Ramirez was a passenger in the Ford. He succumbed to sustained injuries and died at the scene, DPS said.
 
Paramedics brought the driver to a hospital in Laredo in stable condition.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
