Man Fatally Struck in Spring Pedestrian Accident on 45 Freeway

 
HOUSTON, TX (December 6, 2023) — A man died after a pedestrian accident on the 45 Freeway in north Houston on Monday, November 6.
 
The crash happened at about 3:40 a.m. between the 45 Freeway and the Hardy Toll Road of the North Loop.
 
According to the Houston Police Department, a black Hummer struck a 24-year-old man.
 
Emergency responders arrived at the area and pronounced the 24-year-old dead at the scene. They have not yet released the man’s identity pending family notification.
 
Officers said the driver was on his way to work when the incident happened. The driver dialed 911 and remained at the scene. They added that he did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
 
Authorities closed the area for around four hours. The investigation is still underway.
