Man Fatally Struck in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident on 43rd Avenue and Glendale Avenue

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 16, 2023) — A man suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on 43rd Avenue on Tuesday, October 3.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident occurred just before 7:15 p.m. near 43rd Avenue and Glendale Avenue.
 
A preliminary investigation determined that a man tried to cross the street on 43rd Avenue. Then a vehicle struck him. Police said a second car struck the first car. The impact caused the first car to hit the pedestrian again.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the pedestrian with severe injuries. They later pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity pending family notification.
 
The two drivers involved in the collision remained at the scene. Officials said they do not believe impairment is a factor in the collision.
 
Police continue to investigate what led up to the incident.
