Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident on 5 Freeway in Everett

 
EVERETT, WA (October 13, 2023) – The Everett Police Department confirmed that a man died in a hit-and-run accident on 5 Freeway on October 9.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at the Broadway exit shortly after 5:30 AM. Officers did not state the details that led to the crash. They said that a driver fled the scene afterward.
 
As a result, a man in his 70s sustained grave injuries and died in the accident.
 
Crews closed the Broadway exit from the northbound side of the freeway for several hours.
