Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident on Southwest Freeway in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (March 27, 2023) – The Houston Police Department confirmed that a man died in a hit-and-run on Southwest Freeway on March 21.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Bissonnet Street and Beltway 8.
 
Based on a report, the victim and his brother parked on the service road with an apparent argument. The victim seemed upset and threw a pallet into traffic.
 
Subsequently, he ended up on the main lanes of the highway, where a vehicle struck him and left the scene.
 
As a result, the man suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Authorities are still searching for the driver and the pickup truck. They believe it sustained have heavy front-end and windshield damage. As of now, they ask anyone with information to call the HPD Hit and Run Unit at (713)247-4072.
