SCHERTZ, TX (March 27, 2023) – Officials confirmed that a 30-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on FM 1518 on March 20.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Hollering Vine around 6:10 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was walking in the middle of the southbound lane of FM 1518N at the time of the accident. Police said he was wearing dark clothing and a southbound vehicle struck him.
 
The driver immediately stopped and called for help.
 
However, the pedestrian sustained grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release his name, pending next of kin notification.
