Man Dead in Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway Access Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (February 17, 2025) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway Access Road on Wednesday, February 5.
 
According to the Phoenix Police, the accident occurred near 5th Avenue and the 10 Freeway Access Road at around 11:30 p.m.
 
The initial investigation determined that the man was in the roadway. Then an eastbound vehicle on the access road struck him.
 
Phoenix Police responded to the crash and found the pedestrian with critical injuries. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, where they pronounced him dead.
 
Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Police said that they do not suspect impairment as a factor in the crash.
 
The incident remains under investigation. All affected roads have since reopened.
