Driver Killed on Lake Mount Pleasant Road in Montgomery

 
MONTGOMERY, TX (March 28, 2023) – A 64-year-old man died following a possible racing-related crash on Lake Mount Pleasant Road on Monday afternoon, March 20.

Reports by the Montgomery County Police detailed that the fatal crash took place around 2:45 p.m. north of FM 1097. It involved and a Toyota Tundra, police said.

Initial investigation indicated that as a Honda Accord drove through a curve in the road, it began to skid across the southbound lanes. A Toyota Tundra heading southbound struck the passenger side of the Honda causing the latter to end up in the fence of a horse ranch.

The driver of the Honda died at the scene, police said.

However, the driver of the Tundra did not sustain any injuries.

Authorities are still investigating the crash but witnesses said that the Honda appeared to be chasing or racing another vehicle.
