HOUSTON, TX (September 21, 2022) – Police confirmed one death following a pedestrian accident on Highway 6 on September 17.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Huffmeister Road around 10:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the male pedestrian was trying to cross the northbound lanes of Highway 6 at the time of the crash. According to first responders, the driver didn’t see the victim and struck him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries. Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where he later died. Deputies said the victim was a man in his 20s but did not release his name.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials. An initial assessment showed the driver didn’t show any signs of intoxication. However, an investigation is ongoing.
