Man Killed, Two Others Injured in Tow Truck Accident on 27th Avenue

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 16, 2023) — A man died and two others suffered serious injuries after a tow truck crash on 27th Avenue on Wednesday, October 11.
 
According to Phoenix police, the accident took place at 27th Avenue and Camelback Road at about 6:40 p.m.
 
Police said witnesses told their officers that a westbound tow truck hit a vehicle leaving a driveway on Camelback Road. After the impact, the driver of the car left the scene on foot. Yet, the police found him after a while.
 
Paramedics transported the driver of the vehicle to a hospital with serious injuries. They also transported his passenger with critical injuries to a hospital, where he died.
 
First responders also rushed the driver of the tow truck to the hospital with minor injuries. Investigators said he didn’t show any signs of impairment.
