Man Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Richland

 
RICHLAND, WA (February 10, 2023) – The Richland Police Department confirmed that a man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 240 on February 5.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at George Washington Way around 2:20 AM. Based on a report, the pedestrian was walking east on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck the man. Then, the driver fled the scene, without aiding the victim.
 
As a result, an attending coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials withheld the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
