Man Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 99 and Lincoln Way

 
LYNNWOOD, WA (December 4, 2023) — One man died and another sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 99 on Friday, November 24.
 
A 32-year-old man from Tacoma drove a Honda Accord northbound on Highway 99 at Lincoln Way. Then he lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the median. After that, he struck a 32-year-old man from Snohomish who drove southbound in a Kia Sorento.
 
The two vehicles crashed head-on and rolled before the man from Tacoma died at the scene. Officials say they are not sure if he wore his seatbelt.
 
The Snohomish man survived the crash. Paramedics brought him to Swedish Mill Creek for treatment.
 
Authorities closed the street while crews cleared the scene.
 
Washington State Patrol said investigators continue to work to determine the cause of the crash.
