Lydia Reading Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Reno

 
RENO, NV (December 1, 2022)Lydia Reading died after a motorcycle struck her on Kietzke Lane and Firecreek Crossing around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19.

It was confirmed in the investigation by the Reno Police Department that Reading was not in a crosswalk when the oncoming motorcycle hit her near the intersection.

The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 81-year-old Reading from Reno. Responders transported her to a hospital, but she died some time after arriving. According to recorts, she died of blunt force injuries due to the impact of the crash.

The motorcyclist remained at the scene and cooperated with the ongoing investigation.

Authorities ruled out alcohol and drugs as a factor in the accident. However, no other details are immediately available at this time.
