Mother and Child Died in Cypress Car Crash

 
CYPRESS, TX (February 24, 2023) – Lupe Tzic and her 9-month-old son Ezekiel Tzic died after a crash on Grand Parkway near Highway 290 on Wednesday morning, February 15.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash happened before 8:30 a.m. Preliminary investigation detailed that it was a chain-reaction crash involving at least four vehicles.

Authorities said that the Tzic’s Toyota 4Runner flipped over the guardrail and landed on its roof. Then, the vehicle flipped again before a second vehicle struck it.

Lupe and her son Ezekiel died at the scene, police confirmed.

Ezekiel’s brother, 3-year-old Isaiah Tzic, sustained serious injuries and is currently in a critical condition. Medics took him to Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital, police said.

David Tzic, the husband and father, started a GoFundMe page to help with the medical and funeral expenses.

The crash remains under investigation.
