Lenise Forsythe-Cohn Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run on Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch
FARMERS BRANCH, TX (May 28, 2024) — A 67-year-old woman identified as Lenise Forsythe-Cohn was injured in a hit-and-run on Friday, May 10.
According to Farmers Branch Police, the accident took place at about 9:19 p.m. in the 2300 block of Valley View Lane near 35 Freeway.
Farmers Branch Police said a woman tried to cross the street on Valley View Lane. Then a driver struck her in a dark-colored SUV in the far right of the eastbound lane.
As a result of the crash, officers said the impact of the crash threw the woman for around 50 feet.
She sustained many injuries, including a broken pelvis and a brain injury. In addition, on May 13, she also underwent a brain surgery. Police said she is now in critical but stable condition at Parkland Health.
