Latrina Williams Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident in Killeen

 
KILLEEN, TX (February 6, 2024) — A 38-year-old woman identified as Latrina Cheree Williams, of Killeen, died in a pedestrian accident on Friday, February 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash took place on 14 Freeway near mile marker 279. Texas DPS troopers responded to the scene at about 4:35 a.m.
 
Texas DPS said a 42-year-old Harker Heights woman drove a 2023 Dodge Durang westbound in the left lane on of 14 Freeway.
 
At the same time, Williams walked in the left lane of the freeway.
 
The Dodge Durango struck Williams. She died on impact.
 
EMS responders pronounced Williams dead at the scene. Reports said they had notified her next of kin.
 
Authorities said the crash investigation is still ongoing.
