Seth Brown, Lane Wireman Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 79 in Jewett

 
JEWETT, TX (December 4, 2023) – Officials identified 24-year-old Lane Wireman and 25-year-old Seth Brown, both from Kentucky, who died in a crash on Highway 79 on November 27.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at FM 39 at approximately 6:06 AM. Based on a report, the victims were passengers in a van that was traveling near the intersection before the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the van failed to yield at a stop intersection while turning left onto northbound Highway 79. It then hit a Peterbilt that was traveling southbound.
 
As a result, Wireman and Brown suffered grave injuries and both died at the scene.
 
The driver of the van along with two other passengers sustained serious injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
